Hilton Hotels & Resorts’ new hotel Hilton London Wembley has officially opened, just 10 days before the start of the Olympics.

Situated directly opposite Wembley Stadium, the 361-room hotel is part of a major regeneration of the area, with plans to transform Wembley into an area for sport, entertainment and architectural excellence.

The hotel includes 18 suites, a 660-capacity  ballroom, 10 meeting rooms available for private hire, business centre and 200-onsite parking spaces.

The design of Hilton London Wembley captures the spirit of Britain with Union Jack motif rugs in the open plan ground floor lobby, while on the ninth floor its roof bar, Sky Bar 9, has an outdoor terrace with views of Wembley Stadium.

’The hotel will attract both business and leisure travellers looking for a gateway to London and the surrounding areas,” says GM at Hilton London Wembley, Jack Nicholas. “The hotel offers a platform for the conference and events market and will be instrumental in boosting economic growth and regeneration of the area.”

Over 93,000sqm of construction is underway across the area. Quintain, responsible for the regeneration, is transforming 85-acres of former exhibitions lands around Wembley Stadium, which will include a new 26,000sqm retail destination, The London Designer Outlet, as well as a restaurant and leisure scene.

“With the major sporting events of this summer, Hilton London Wembley is in a prime location to provide accommodation and will be a central part of the continued regeneration of Wembley,” says Area President at Hilton Worldwide, Europe, Simon Vincent.
