Midlands-based Heritage Motor Centre claims it is the first venue in Stratford to be presented with five stars in the new Food Hygiene Rating Scheme.
The Food Hygiene Rating Scheme, which came into effect this month, was developed by the Food Standards Agency and is run in partnership with local authorities. It aims to amalgamate all previous hygiene rating systems across all food outlets in the UK.
The Heritage Motor Centre’s five-star rating came as a result of a full kitchen and site inspection by food safety officers.
“We are proud to be the first catering establishment in the Stratford district to receive a five-star rating,” says Managing Director at the Heritage Motor Centre, Julie Tew. “We serve a large number of museum visitors and delegates on a daily basis, so hygiene and food safety is important to us. The accolade is testament to the high standards that we adhere to in food hygiene and cleanliness.”
