HeadBox, a digital platform for meetings and events, has launched the first tool – ‘Journeys’ – in its suite of sustainable event solutions, ‘HeadBox Zero’.

With HeadBox business clients including Sky, L’Oréal, Accenture and EDF Energy working towards net zero emissions targets, HeadBox Zero will offer a series of digital tools to help businesses reduce their environmental impact when booking meetings and events.

The first tool, available to the company’s business customers, aims to help empower event bookers to make the most sustainable venue choices – before they decide which venue to book.

It works by allowing event bookers to enter attendees’ travel details so they can compare the projected travel emissions for each venue option provided and see which is the lowest.

Andrew Needham (pictured), CEO, HeadBox, said this is proving “essential” to helping corporate clients reduce the carbon impact of their meetings and events programmes, as up to 80% of carbon emissions for in-person events comes from travel to and from the venue.
