The Hotel Booking Agents Association (HBAA) will host its first Corporate Forum at etc.venues’ Dexter House, London on Monday 10 December.

The inaugural Corporate Forum has been co-ordinated to provide engaging discussions pertinent to corporate meetings and event professionals, and will include topics relevant for professionals involved in procuring meetings and events, including Tour Operators’ Margin Schemes and gaining return on investment for meetings spends.

The HBAA has engaged several high-profile speakers to present at the Corporate Forum, including Richard Eades, Global Procurement Manager who will present the keynote session ’Meetings from every angle’. Eades will address how the industry has developed and what he sees next for the sector.

Also on the agenda is a ’Hands On’ hour on the implementation of the topic of the HBAA’s most recent White Paper on strategic meetings management programmes (SMMPs). Mediated by Zibrant MD Faye Sharpe, delegates will hear from agents and clients who have adopted the system, and the session will also present case studies from an agent and client perspective.

“The Corporate Forum will be an informative platform for procurement specialists and agent members to discuss some of the current issues affecting the meetings and events industry today,” says Chairman of the HBAA, Chris Peacock. “At the same time, we also hope that delegates will find this a great opportunity to network with like-minded individuals, sharing best practices and their experiences of the meetings industry.”
