Conference Aston, Birmingham, has said it will be “feeding its delegates’ minds as well as their stomachs” in 2018 with the introduction of a new menu.

Wilson Vale, the venue’s catering team, has launched Nourish, which focuses on health-conscious menus – from homemade smoothies to Thai chicken curry with cauliflower rice, and baked lemon pudding.

It has produced a 70-page booklet, filled with recipes that chefs can use as part of their healthy eating promotions, and the comforting dishes have been planned with health benefits in mind.

Samantha Brown, head of Conference Aston, said: “It’s important for us to produce attractive meal plans for our guests that are nutritious, healthy and vibrant; it’s not just about filling people up and sending them on their way.

“After the excesses of the festive season, this is the ideal opportunity to get back on track and enjoy healthy dishes that are satisfying and tasty. The Nourish campaign has given us real food for thought and our chefs are looking forward to rolling out a range of new dishes and drinks to be served for breakfast, lunch and dinner.”

Throughout January, as part of the Nourish campaign, Conference Aston will showcase two seasonal ingredients – rhubarb and kale – in a range of dishes.
