Audience response technology provider Group Dynamics has launched its Message Gateway product for managing audience communication in real time at events.

The Message Gateway is designed to manage messages
effectively from multiple sources and to allow moderators and
facilitators to channel them to one or many displays.

In January 2012 Group Dynamics launched its contactless interactive attendance management system.
Based on industry-standard RFID technology, Smart Badges are used to
identify and process the delegates with a swipe over an active reader.
Access rights can be stored on the badges and a register of each action
is collected on the readers for analysis.

Group Dynamics’
Michael Hogan says in meetings it is imperative to consult and engage
with audiences: “However, the quantity of information generated can
sometimes be difficult to manage during the event.”

The product
allows seminar mediators to identify certain themes and filter content.
It even allows instant private messaging between moderators and
speakers.

With the Message Gateway, each expert is equipped with a
touch screen device such as an iPad. As questions and comments from the
audience flow into the system, they can be routed in real time to the
relevant expert, and these messages appear instantly on their individual
devices.

They can add private comments and then with one simple
touch on their device, selected messages can be sent instantly to the
main projection screen for the audience to see and discuss.

The
Message Gateway can handle multiple displays and each screen can show a
different image or set of data. For example, comments about the event
can be shown in the style of a Twitter feed or a Facebook wall on
specific displays.

“Technology should facilitate and add value to
an event: it should not interrupt the process or be complex to
operate,” states Hogan. “Our solutions are designed to work seamlessly
in any event, allowing speakers to concentrate on the meeting itself.”
