Grosvenor House, a JW Marriott hotel, has been named England’s Leading Conference Hotel at the World Travel Awards, held last weekend (31 August) in Antalya, Turkey.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, the World Travel Awards acknowledges, rewards and celebrates excellence across all sectors of the global travel and tourism industry.
Some of the other winners include Europe’s Leading Airline: Lufthansa; Europe’s Leading Business Hotel: Hotel Adlon Kempinski, Germany; Europe’s Leading Conference Hotel: Hilton Molino Stucky, Venice, Italy; Europe’s Leading Incentive and Incoming Agency: DE&HA Tourism; Europe’s Leading Meetings and Conference Centre: Excel London; and Europe’s Leading MICE Hotel: Radisson Royal Hotel, Moscow, Russia.

The hotel has 5,700sqm of combined meeting and conference space, boasts one of the largest ballrooms in Europe and its Great Room has a capacity for up to 2,000 delegates. Last year it hosted the 124th International Olympic Committee (IOC) Session, ahead of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
