Gombert appointed Relais & Chateaux International President

The owner of Chateau de la Treyne in the Dordogne, Philippe Gombert, has been appointed the new International President of international hotel collection, Relais & Chateaux.

The owner of Chateau de la Treyne in the Dordogne, Philippe Gombert, has been appointed the new International President of international hotel collection, Relais & Chateaux.

Gombert
was elected at the association’s 39th International Congress held in
Berlin,17-19 November, and attended by 500 member hoteliers and
restaurateurs. Gombert takes over from Jaume Tapies who held the post
for eight years.
 
He will lead Relais & Chateaux for a
four-year term, working closely with his Executive Committee which
includes Andrew Stembridge, MD of Chewton Glen and Cliveden, and an
International Board of Directors whose 19 delegates include Malcolm
Lewis, MD of Longueville Manor in Jersey.
                                                                
Executive
Committee and Board members are selected from the exclusive
association’s membership of 520 hotels and restaurants worldwide.
 
Gombert is a third generation hotelier and trained lawyer.

Tàpies
