GES has announced it will be championing the Women in Exhibitions (WiE) initiative by sponsoring elements of its global summit in November.
The event’s theme for 2024 is ‘Building bridges, breaking ceilings’, and will include keynote presentations, panel discussions, and interactive workshops.
GES is sponsor of two of the networking sessions and will be contributing to the conference content.
GES continues to drive its commitment to gender equality via its robust ESG initiatives. Its team has established a thriving Women’s Mentoring Group for EMEA Exhibitions which creates space for women to share their experiences, knowledge and insights, fostering career growth. Working with WiE will allow GES the opportunity to contribute to discussions in the field and listen and learn from its peers.
Katrina Rowbury, HR director, GES Exhibitions EMEA, said: “Following the success of last year’s inaugural event, it is a privilege to once again show our support for such a ground-breaking project. At GES we continue to drive our ESG ambitions and diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging play a large part in our success.”
Sonia Thomas, executive director, WiE spokesperson added: “By partnering with WiE, GES is once again demonstrating its clear commitment to gender diversity and equality in the industry. We look forward to working with them to provide a welcoming and open environment in which to explore these vital topics.”
This year, the event takes place, 18-19 November at Chiostri di San Barnaba, Milan, Italy.
