Full-service creative communications agency The Fresh Group has been appointed to deliver the special events production at The Skills Show, taking place at the NEC Birmingham in November 2012.

The Skills Show is the UK’s biggest national skills and career event and a showcase for opportunities in further education, skills and apprenticeships.

The organiser expect to attract 100,000 visitors.

Fresh Managing Director Patrick Howells (pictured) said: “We worked hard during the pitch process and are looking forward to seeing some of our creative ideas come to life. In the current climate, the event has never been more relevant and we are proud to be a part of it.”

Fresh will deliver the creative concept, technical production, event logistics, artistic management, video production, digital offering and content management for the opening and closing ceremonies (attended by 4,000 guests) as well as smaller awards ceremonies.

Operations Director Damian Besbrode added: “The pitch process for The Skills Show really demonstrated our joined up approach, with most departments at fresh getting involved. This
win comes in the middle of another busy year for us, delivering huge events for Lloyds, Morrisons and Santander in addition to pitching for new business.”

Ross Maloney, Chief Executive of The Skills Show, said the show “highlights the vital importance of skills to economic growth”.
