TFI Meeting Point, part of London-based professional conference organiser (PCO) TFI Group, has strengthened its presence in the association market, announcing four event wins and recruitment of additional staff.

TFI Meeting Point has been appointed the PCO for the International Union of Marine Insurance conference in London (September 2013), plus three events in Edinburgh; the European Symposium of Porcine Management (May 2013); Clinical Rheumatology State of the Art Summit (October 2013) and European Conference of Biotechnology (2014).

TFI Meeting Point is also working with the British Neuroscience Association on the Festival of Neuroscience 2013, which brings together 17 society partners in a combined professional and public event in London.

One of the company’s new appointments is Punita Halladey, who joins as sponsorship and delegate acquisition manager.

Simon Maier, TFI Group Managing Director, said: “The association market is proving very lively right now. Professionally presented conferences and events are, more than ever, an important focal point for many associations.

“With finance the first concern for many associations currently, TFI Meeting Point’s expertise in financial management and ability to maximise revenues is key. We are particularly adept at helping associations find ways to fund their events, identifying and securing sources that can provide commercial sponsorship.”

Caroline Windsor, TFI Meeting Point Director, added: “We are particularly pleased to demonstrate once again our absolute commitment to delivering what the association wants from its event.

“We also bring a creative approach to each event. For example we are working with the British Society of Rheumatology to create a new event concept and identity to inspire and attract international clinicians, and with the British Neuroscience Association to present a single event for both the profession and the public.”
