Female leaders at The Belfry Hotel & Resort in the Midlands have celebrated prestigious award wins spanning various departments across the resort over the past year.
Emma Catterall, finance director; Anna Nilsson, deputy head Greenkeeper; Rekha Lyons, head of event sales; and Kirsten Price (pictured), people director, were among those honoured.
Catterall received the Inspirational Finance Leader of the Year award at the HOSPA Awards 2024, recognising her outstanding leadership and impact. Price earned the prestigious People Manager of the Year accolade at the Hotel Cateys 2024, with judges praising her ability to foster a people-focused culture that drives exceptional guest experiences and inspires her team.
Nilsson, deputy head Greenkeeper of the iconic Brabazon Golf Course, was celebrated with the Women in Turfcare Award at the Women in Golf Awards 2024. As the first woman to manage this renowned championship course, she was recognised for her expertise, passion, and commitment to inspiring women and future generations to embrace golf.
Lyons secured the Individual Award at the miaList Awards 2024 for her remarkable leadership and contributions to the meetings and events industry. She played a pivotal role in securing over £80m in investment for The Belfry’s ambitious expansion, including the new flagship events space, The Masters Suite, and a state-of-the-art Leisure Club currently under construction.
