Experience Oxfordshire, the official destination management organisation (DMO) for Oxfordshire, has appointed two new board members.

The chair of Experience Oxfordshire, Joanna Davidson CBE, welcomed new board members: Cllr Duncan Enright (pictured left) and Nicola Poole (pictured right), at its recent board meeting held at Bicester Hotel Golf and Spa.

Board members are drawn from all sectors of the local business community, with each one sharing their expertise and experience on a voluntary basis.

About the new board members

A former Mayor of Witney and current deputy leader at West Oxfordshire District Council, Cllr Enright is Oxfordshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for travel and development Strategy. He also runs his own publishing company and is director of a leadership development organisation.

Poole is the director of culture and innovation at Hedges Law. She also serves as an ambassador for the Prince’s Trust ‘Women Supporting Women’ initiative.

The appointments aim to further strengthen the board of directors and help the company grow and develop the visitor economy.

Commenting on their appointment, Davidson CBE, said: “Cllr Enright, through his work in local government and current portfolio, brings insights which will be invaluable in our work supporting the recovery of the county’s visitor economy.

“Nicola has strong professional links with Oxfordshire, and I’m delighted that we will now have the benefit of her knowledge and experience, as we look to develop our partnership network and promote Oxfordshire as a great destination to live, work, visit and do business.”
