EventWell, the event industry’s resource for mental health and wellbeing advice, has announced that it needs a minimum of £1,000 to support its #EventWell20 campaign and will launch its first crowdfunding project on 2 March 2020.
The campaign is part of a Crowdfunder project, which is in partnership with Back Her Business, a NatWest funding initiative that is designed to support the set-up of female-led businesses in the UK.
Back her Business shortlisted a group of eligible projects which included EventWell. It is also supported by Royal Bank and Ulster Bank to provide free coaching or mentoring and up to 50% of the fundraising target in additional grant funding.
EventWell’s crowdfunding aims to provide support for the 2020 Event Wellbeing Day and Event Wellbeing Week campaigns for the event industry.
The money raised will go towards the overall campaign management to reach professionals and businesses within the event industry.
It will also enable EventWell to start its #EventWell20 legacy project, which aims to provide free education to event management students and under-graduates on the importance of self-care and resilience in events.
Helen Moon, managing director of EventWell and founder of Event Wellbeing Day and Week, said: “I am incredibly excited to have been accepted onto this brilliant new programme and project supporting women in business and entrepreneurs.
“This is a perfect opportunity for EventWell to raise essential funds to support this year’s vital mental health and wellbeing campaign for the industry, allowing us to reach new audiences and really impact the mental health and wellbeing of professionals in our industry.”
