Event registration and delegate data management company, Eventsforce, claims to be the first UK-headquartered technology company to support the Britain for Events 2013-14 campaign.
Eventsforce joins other meetings industry professionals and associations in lending support to the campaign, which aims to grow, progress and promote the UK events industry and to encourage event organisers around the world to ’buy British’. Recently, the campaign has received support from VisitScotland, London & Partners, Liverpool Convention Bureau and International Confex as well as the Business Visits and Events Partnership (BVEP).
“As our international client base continues to grow, we will certainly be supporting the campaign message of ‘buy British’ and, of course, will fly the flag for the UK events industry,” says Eventsforce CEO George Sirius. “The world has witnessed first-hand what we achieved as hosts of one of the biggest events in the world with the 2012 Olympics.”
Michael Hirst, on behalf of the Britain For Events Co-ordinating Committee, said: “Eventsforce help to deliver thousands of events every year and its support will be invaluable in delivering the programme and underlines its own positioning of being a trusted partner for successful events.
“Their participation is yet more evidence of the growing endorsement by event businesses and government departments for the campaign, which aims to raise the profile of the industry and create a more competitive environment for future growth.”
Eventsforce recently announced that the total of event registration fees to pass through its system since the launch of the product in 2004 had exceeded £250m. The company’s clients include Schroders, UBM, Haymarket, TFI Group and Santander.
