Eventist Group has won a five-year catering contract, worth £25m, for RHS Chelsea Flower Show, which will see it provide food and drink opportunities for more than 100,000 guests over the six-day event.
Eventist Group will use each of its four catering and hospitality brands at the event. The company said the event’s theme of sustainability will be reflected through its “well-considered” use of food and drink, restaurant and hospitality design.
Brands and service
A key addition to the 2023 Show, which is expected to attract around 140,000 attendees, will be chef Skye Gyngell (pictured right) who will partner with Alison Price and Company – Eventist’s luxe food and event design brand. Gyngell will be chef patron of Spring Garden at Chelsea, situated within the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea.
Eventist’s other catering brands will service further areas of the six-day event. Zafferano will cater for the opening Gala evening for more than 5,000 guests. Food by Dish will manage the Ranelagh restaurant and vibrant Champagne and Seafood restaurant, as well as provide afternoon teas in the Drawing Room. Tapenade will operate in the Thames View and Rock Bank restaurants and cater for exhibitors and media hospitality.
Tim Stevens, CEO and founder, Eventist Group, said: “It was always our long-term plan to win major sporting and social events with a proactive collaboration between our four catering brands.
“While RHS Chelsea Flower Show is steeped in history, we are all looking to create a new tradition and a real legacy around sustainability in partnership with the RHS.”
