A team from Hampshire-based Event Insurance Services (EIS) has won a charity football tournament held to raise funds for Help for Heroes. EIS won the competition against 19 other six-a-side teams all of which were from the insurance market.

A few months ago four EIS employees raised £3,000 for Help for Heroes by completing the Three Peaks challenge.

This time EIS won 2-1 on sudden death penalties in the final against Brit Insurance.

Dan Rose, Tom Ayles, Seb Morrison, Gary Langrish, Dan Seymour, Matt Furnell and Phil Staples were the football heroes helping the military heroes at the London Soccer Dome, formerly the David Beckham Academy.

Thomas Cubitt, Insurance Manager at organiser Hillman Saunders said: “It was great to bring some of the industry’s key players together and to raise over £1,136 for Help for Heroes. This is the first time we have organised a charity football tournament but it was so successful that it could well become an annual event and we hope Event Insurance Services will be back to defend its title.”
