EVCOM, the association for the live event and visual communication industry, has announced that the association is opening its submissions on 23 May 2024 for agency focused categories for this year’s awards.
The EVCOM London live awards will be recognised by ESG strategies and DEI and people engagement initiatives.
Entrants will be asked to answer three questions around what the initiatives or strategy are, the journey to its creation (how the identified the need for the initiative and shaped it to ensure it met the needs of the team and agency), and the impact (what the impact has been on the individuals in the agency, and the agency as a whole).
EVCOM has also introduced a new free to enter category which will recognise agencies who have built a culture that is recognised by staff and clients. This is introduced alongside the free to enter categories, ‘Agency of the Year’, and ‘Rising Star Agency of the Year’.
Other new categories being introduced this year also include ‘Best B2B Event’ and ‘Best Acessibility Strategy’.
Claire Fennelow, EVCOM executive director, said: “We have worked closely with event agencies to formulate these new categories which zero in on what an agency can control, their strategies, their initiatives, the culture they have built We want to celebrate not just the work they make, but how great they make it, how agencies support and motivate their teams to do great work.”
The award categories are:
- Event Awards: Best B2E Event, Best B2B Event, Best Brand Communication Event
- Event Mechanisms: Best Use of Production and Technology, Creativity and Innovation, Best Execution, Best Accessibility Strategy, Best Agency and Client Collaboration
- Agency Awards: Best People Engagement Initiative, Best DEI initiative, Best ESG strategy initiative
- Best Agency Culture of the Year
- Rising Star Agency
- Agency of the Year
- Grand Prix
