Eurostar is to introduce new routes and new trains, linking the UK with more destinations on the continent and an evening showcase, 16 January at the Regal St Pancras Renaissance Hotel in London, gave international meeting planners an idea of how they could use the new services for meetings in Benelux.
The high energy networking event delivered learning and a host of interactive activities, all designed around showcasing the opportunities for MICE business.
Business travellers can now look forward to more direct city-to-city route destinations, including: Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and The Hague, who’s destination marketing leaders were represented at the event.
Since Eurostar started to roll out new and refurbished trains at the end of 2015, the company says it will have an entire new fleet already this year, with a mix of e320s and e300s.
Nick Mercer, commercial director at Eurostar, welcomed guests and other MICE industry leaders present, including Eric Bakermans, director marketing meetings, conventions & events for the Netherlands national convention bureau; and Humberto Benavente, project manager meetings and conventions, UK & Ireland – Netherlands Board of Tourism and Conventions.
