Conference and training venue provider etc.venues has announced the opening of its third new venue in 12 months, a 1,858sqm conference and meeting venue in St Paul’s, London.
The new venue, to open in March 2012, in a landmark City building at 200 Aldersgate boasts the largest conference suite in the etc.venues portfolio, able to hold 400 delegates theatre-style.
The announcement follows etc.venues’ triple win in the VenueVerdict Awards which gave the group the Number 1 UK Brand Award in the Mid Sized Group category.
Two of the company’s venues, Maple House in Birmingham and 120 Moorgate in the City of London, achieved the VenueVerdict Gold Standard Accreditation.
The St Paul’s venue will be the company’s tenth venue space in London.
Etc.venues MD Alastair Stewart said: “I’m delighted to be announcing yet more growth right at the start of the year following the two new venues we opened in 2011. Despite tough economic conditions, we see an opportunity in this part of the City to take on some of the established venues we think have become tired.
“Clients and our agency partners have been encouraging me to open something new and better in this part of London for some time so I hope we will deliver on this expectation with our new design ideas, including some specifically around Generation Y delegates.
“We know that good demand is there for the right venue setup in the right location and our designers have produced some exciting ideas for the impressive 3,000 square foot ‘Galleria’ which acts as a focal point for the venue.
We have already seen good levels of interest and pre-bookings which is a great sign that businesses are taking a positive approach to 2012.”
