Etc.venues has signed up a new conference venue in the City near Liverpool Street, the specialist venue group’s largest conference suite to date.

A £3m investment in the 1,858sqm 155 Bishopsgate venue, adjacent to Liverpool Street Station, represents the company’s most ambitious project.

The venue will offer a single floor of contemporary space for up to 550 delegates, 50 exhibition stands and adjacent networking ‘galleria’.

Alastair Stewart, etc.venues MD, said: “Great feedback and strong demand for our St Paul’s venue, 200 Aldersgate, which we opened in March 2012, has encouraged us to open a further large venue specifically designed for larger groups and events.

“The market for larger conferences and exhibitions is changing fast, with organisers coming out of recession now hungry for new and exciting spaces that will help them put on memorable conferences, events and meetings. Our approach takes that innovation challenge head on and our design team have unveiled a spectacular interior design and layout.

“155 Bishopsgate is etc.venues’ 14th venue and keeps us on track to continue the 20 per cent annual growth rate we’ve achieved over the past few years. That growth is one of the reasons we have just been listed in London Stock Exchange’s ‘1,000 Companies to INSPIRE BRITAIN’ and sustains our ambition to become a £50m turnover business within the next five years.“
