The winners of the Event Supplier and Services Association’s (ESSA) 2022 Awards were announced yesterday, 8 December.
Now in its fifth year, the ESSA awards were introduced to recognise and reward the “bold and innovative” individuals and companies who have set new standards for the sector during the previous 12 months.
During this year’s celebration, which took place at The Forest of Arden Birmingham after ESSA’s Annual Conference, awards were presented across eight categories.
Who were the winners?
1) Outstanding Contribution to the Industry Award – Lou Kiwanuka, OpsShaper
2) Young Person Award – Ellen Stokes, Be Exhibitions (winner), Joe Faichine, Rocket Exhibition Services (silver)
3) Member Company Award – Abraxys Global (winner), GES (silver), Human Built (silver)
4) Sustainability – Skyline Whitespe (winner), Icon Exhibitions and Display (silver), Ignition DG (silver)
5) Unsung Hero – Elsie O’Dwyer, The Barista
6) Innovation of the Year – Rego Smart Stands
7) Best Venue – Manchester Central
8) Best Organiser – Clarion Events

“The ESSA Awards has grown to eight categories this year, the most to date, to reflect the dedication, commitment and sheer hard work of our members.”
