Creative events agency emc3 has appointed Lee-Anne Caldwell as its new managing director.

This appointment marks a new chapter for the business as it continues to expand its global footprint and push the boundaries of sustainable event experiences.

Caldwell joined emc3 six months ago as head of client experience, part of a planned transition that allowed her to fully immerse herself in the agency’s culture before stepping into the managing director role.

Alistair Graham, CEO of emc3 said: “We knew from an early stage that Lee-Anne was a great fit and absolutely the right person to take emc3 forward.”

He added: “She’s already made a huge impact, building strong relationships with the team and clients and bringing clarity to our global growth plans. Her leadership will be pivotal as we continue to scale with purpose.”

Caldwell brings over 20 years’ experience in the events industry, including nearly a decade at Ashfield Event Experiences, now Emota, where she most recently held the role of global senior vice president.

With a strong background in pharma, Caldwell sees great potential in working with emc3’s diverse and growing tech portfolio and beyond.

Her first six months were focused on building trust, listening, and identifying opportunities to elevate the business. She now leads the agency through a building phase, developing a robust structure for sustainable growth and setting teams up for long-term success.

Caldwell said: “What really stood out to me about emc3 is that the values aren’t just words. The commitment to sustainability runs deep, and the B Corp certification is just one example. I’m surrounded by people who not only care about delivering incredible events but also about making a real, lasting difference. That’s rare, and it’s exactly the kind of agency I want to help grow.”
