EDGE Venues has made five new appointments following its February 2022 acquisition of Trinity Event Solutions to bring venue procurement and EDGE technology under one portfolio.
The new appointments, alongside changes to its leadership team, aim to support its business model and growth.
In the past 12 months, the venue procurement side of the business has won five new contracted corporate clients. In addition to this, pre-pandemic, EDGE Venues saw a 64% conversion rate for venues signing up to license their properties to the digital platform. Post-pandemic, this has increased to 77%.

This increase in demand for new business has led to the appointment of Deena Squires (pictured) as business development director.
Squires joins EDGE Venues with agency and hotel experience, with her most recent position as director of sales for Radisson East Midlands Airport for 10+ years.
Jacqui Kavanagh, CEO of EDGE Venues, said: “In the short time with us, Deena has already set her mark on what she wants to achieve. Her extensive experience in meetings and events means she grasps the benefits of EDGE Venues for both corporates and venues and can articulate this well when talking to existing clients, prospects and venues.”
Other recent appointments across the wider business include:
1) Julia Biddle, finance manager – overseeing the finance team and streamlining the processes for the two sides of the business.
2) James Hallifax, business unit manager – supporting Squires with the account management for venue procurement.
3) Felicity Mitchell, conference executive – part of the Venue Procurement team supporting corporates with their enquiries.
4) Freya Armstrong, data researcher – responsible for looking after venue data stored within the EDGE platform and supporting licensees with their profiles.
