Earls
Court and Olympia Venues (EC&O) has launched a free iPhone app
offering visitors, exhibitors and organisers a definitive guide to
visiting the venues.

The app contains a password-protected
organiser section and panoramic images of the venues. App users can
create their own event calendar, find local restaurants, bars and
accommodation, and view floor plans.

“We believe the EC&O
app is the best of any venue,” EC&O head of marketing Tom Lambregts
claimed.“It’s the latest in a long line of innovative and exciting
projects from our creative marketing team. Everything we do is geared
towards adding value to an organiser tenancy, and to the visitor
experience.”

EC&O is currently analysing user take-up and data ahead of launching the app on other platforms.

The venue has also claimed top spot out of the UK’s exhibition venue websites, according to online analytics website Alexa.

Taking
average statistics over the last 12 months, EC&O is ranked ahead of
Excel London, The Business Design Centre, Manchester Central and The
NEC, with a monthly average of 80,758 unique visitors, peaking at
142,741 in November last year.

A dedicated microsite was also built for the celebration of 125 years of events at Olympia and the launch of the West Hall.

EC&O recently implemented a new wireless system to provide better wireless connectivity for events.
