DRPG has made two acquisitions including a UK-based marketing agency and a US-based events agency.
The purchase of Birmingham-based marketing agency OWB signifies a strengthening of its presence in the West Midlands. DRPG has studios in Worcestershire.
Headquartered in Kidderminster, DRPG also has its sights set on expanding into North America with the acquisition of The Special Event Company, based near Raleigh, North Carolina.
The Special Event Company was originally founded by Sally Webb. It has been a prominent player in the US events industry for over 35 years.
Webb will now become a non-exec director and Matt Franks, DRPG’s group director of events will assume the role of CEO, where he will split his time between the UK and USA.
Hunter Gray, vice president of The Special Event Company, said: “We are excited to join forces with DRPG, knowing that this collaboration will not only enhance our capabilities but also contribute to their ambitious growth plans. Together, we aim to set new standards in the creative communications and event planning landscape.”
Dale Parmenter, CEO of DRPG, added: “These acquisitions mark a pivotal moment for DRPG in both local and global expansion. We are excited to welcome OWB and TSEC to the DRPG family, and we believe their expertise will play a crucial role in advancing our capabilities and offering unparalleled value to our clients.”
