UK-based international event planning company, MD Events, has appointed Douglas Mulcock to run its new Hong Kong office as part of its global expansion.
As General Manager Asia Pacific, Mulcock will be responsible for the entire Asia region, with particular attention being focused on China, Southeast Asia and India.
Mulcock describes his role as “positioning the MD Events brand to our current clients who have business in Asia and to work with new customers and brands. The key is to continue the company’s current best practices and position MD Events as the go-to event expert while developing the brand locally and pan regionally”.
Mulcock has lived in Asia for 11 years and says: “To succeed in Asia, it is imperative to understand how Asia works and to understand how Southeast Asia, Greater China and the emerging regions all work together. The region is a huge growth opportunity and my task is to have MD Events at the forefront of this opportunity.”
