DEI a focus for new pro-social organisation

A new pro-social organisation, that focuses on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) as well as environmental transformation, has launched.

The new organisation is spearheaded by Rory Archibald (pictured), head of associations, sectors and marketing, VisitScotland. He will act as New Intent’s CEO and founder alongside his current role at VisitScotland.

In addition to Archibald, the wider New Intent team has over 15 years of experience in the global events market.

What it offers

New Intent specialises in creating transformational strategies that connect events and destinations with local communities, academia, social enterprises and local governments. Its mission is to ensure events “meet with new intent”, “give back to communities” and “create positive transformation.”

Commenting on the launch, a spokesperson said: “We believe that more needs to be done in the business events community to take DEI and environmental discussions and turn them into action.”

The organisation works with destinations, venues and suppliers to produce transformational engagement campaigns dedicated to these key areas. The team also specialises in the following topics and are available to share their insight with audiences. The topics include:

  • United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI)
  • Climate change and environmental action
  • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
  • The Politics of Meetings
