Conference venue group, De Vere Venues has appointed Darren Patt as Managing Director of Development. Patt will head up a team specialising in management contracts, franchise agreements and new venues.
Patt will also have operational ownership of all Management and Franchise venues, which includes the current 11 properties. He will be assisted by Regional Operations Director, Sarah Gander.
Patt joins De Vere Venues following more than 20 years in hotel management and operations with Posthouse Hotels, MacDonald Hotels and most recently, Thistle Hotels, where he held the post of Regional Operations Director.
De Vere Venues says that companies working with its management contract team will benefit from the teams many years of expertise in the industry with particular strengths in space management.
De Vere Venues is looking ahead to three new build that are set for completion in 2013/14 and two non-residential properties in central London due by the end of 2012.
