Business travel and event management agency, Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT), has appointed Patrick Andersen as President of Americas with immediate effect. Andersen was previously the Executive VP of UK and Ireland, Nordics and Eastern Europe.
Andersen, a US-born Danish citizen, will become a member of the CWT executive team and will report to Douglas Anderson, CWT President and CEO. He will be based in CWT’s US headquarters in Minneapolis.
Andersen joined CWT in 2008 as a country manager for Denmark. In 2009, he became Executive VP for Denmark and Sweden. Responsibilities for Finland and later Eastern Europe were added in 2011. In February 2012, Andersen was appointed to his current role of Executive VP of the UK & Ireland, Nordic and Eastern Europe.
“Patrick is a proven leader within CWT and we are excited that he is taking on such a key role; leading our teams in the Americas to continue bringing exceptional value and service to the travellers and companies we work with” says Anderson.
Prior to CWT, Andersen worked for Deutsche Post Worldwide Network and DHL holding numerous international positions in sales and marketing, operations and general management.
