Carlson Wagonlit Travel’s meeting and events division has appointed Sharon Burrell to head its operations for UK, Ireland and Benelux.
She will report to Paul Stoddart, MD UK&I & Benelux for CWT Meetings & Events.

She brings a wealth of live events knowledge and expertise to further strengthen our proposition in this area,” said Stoddart. “Her experience in delivering large scale congresses will be particularly welcome to several of our global pharmaceutical clients.”
Burrell will focus on growing the business within UK&I and Benelux while supporting the initiatives of the Global Operations team.
Previously, Burrell held the role of head of events for 12 years at Procon Conferences Ltd (now part of United Drug plc), and since 2004 has worked as a freelance global conference and exhibition director managing multiple projects for small businesses and international organisations within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, automotive and retail sectors.
