Corporate and Sporting Events (CSE) has celebrated a win at the Central England Prestige Awards, being named Event Management Company of the Year.
Founded by event logistics specialist Simon Hainsworth in 1991, CSE has managed over 750 corporate and sporting events.
Hainsworth said: “Judges selected us because they recognised our commitment to clients, attention to detail, and global reach across major international sporting federations. We stand out from other event management companies due to our highly experienced team and the prestigious profile of our clients.”
From the Olympics to national and international athletics, hockey, tennis, gymnastics, and taekwondo competitions, the CSE team arrange everything from hotels to teams’ transport.
CSE’s calendar is already filling up for 2025 and beyond, with partnerships including the London Diamond League athletics event and the UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale).
In addition, the team will continue their work on the Glasgow Commonwealth Games and European Athletics Championships, both scheduled for summer 2026.
Hainsworth said: “We look after all the track events worldwide for UCI cycling. To achieve the highest level of service, we conduct site visits to locations prior to the event. While there, we ensure the most suitable hotels are selected, transport is planned, and we liaise with airports and the venue.”
Among CSE’s longest-running partnerships are those with UKA and British Athletics, dating back to 1991.
Hainsworth said: “The partnership has developed over the years and has now extended to sharing the same office location and offering additional support with both team travel and major events.”
Looking ahead, Hainsworth identified limited government funding for major events and the potential risks posed by further global conflicts as the most significant challenges over the next five years.
He said: “CSE will rise to these challenges by working closely with our partners, understanding where markets will develop, and ensuring CSE remains at the forefront of their plans.”
