The Convention Centre Dublin (CCD) celebrated its 500th event last week with the international conference TM Forum Management World.
Since its opening in September 2010, The CCD has hosted over 240,000 delegate days at a range of events, including international conferences, corporate meetings, banquets, exhibitor and award ceremonies.
“Having successfully delivered 500 events we are delighted with the positive feedback we received from our customers,” says CEO of The CCD, Nick Waight. “Our clients make reference to our friendly team, who work to ensure every event held goes beyond clients’ expectations.
“We are very fortunate to have this advantage in the marketplace and we believe it is, and will continue to be, a huge factor in our success, as we aim to become the best conference venue in Europe by 2014.”
Events hosted at The CCD include the European Union of Geriatric Medicine Society Conference, International Statistical Institute Conference, Goole EMEA Sales Conference, British Orthopaedic Association Conference, International Water Association World Congress and American Chamber of Commerce 50th Anniversary Gala Dinner.
The CCD has also secured a host of events up until 2015, including the 16th International Congress of Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders, International Congress on Accident and Emergency Medicine, and Euroscience 2012, which will be the venue’s largest event so far, with 5,000 international delegates expected to attend.
