Congress Centre in central London has opened its new event space, The Congress Suite, following extensive renovations over the summer.
The completion of the new room has been carried out ahead of Elizabeth Line services commencing in late 2018 from nearby Tottenham Court Road tube station.
The Congress Suite has been created from four smaller interconnecting meeting rooms to form one large contemporary space. The room features original 1950s’ parquet flooring which has been carefully restored.
Situated on the same level as Congress Hall, the venue’s largest space, the new suite can accommodate large exhibition stands or be used as a breakout area for catering, workshops and meetings, accommodating up to 190 people for a sit-down meal.
Congress Centre’s summer renovation programme included the refurbishment of washroom facilities and new LED lighting.
Ruby Chagger, conference and sales manager at Congress Centre, says: “The Congress Suite is a welcome addition to the venue as clients have been crying out for another large space, particularly for use as an exhibition area to accompany events taking place in Congress Hall.”
