Confex teams up with Event Tech Lab

International Confex has unveiled further details of its conference programme with two full days of event technology education taking place in a dedicated theatre for the sector. The exhibition has also teamed up with Event Tech Lab to curate the content. Event Tech Lab founder James Morgan and Chris Elmitt, founder of Crystal Interactive, will be moderating the tech sessions.

The content comes as part of the largest conference programme in the UK events industry and has a mixture of cutting edge tech, real time issues, humour and opinion. Day One sees sessions on how evaluate technology types and their uses, sessions on wearable technology, gamification and the rise of hybrid events – where live and virtual audiences coalesce. Also included is the programme will be a #fulledbyILEA session on ‘Are we Ready for Event Tech 3.0’.

Day Two has an equally engaging schedule, with sessions on the hot topics of artificial intelligence and facial recognition, discussions on how to manage attendee data, and innovations in AR and VR. There will also be a lunch, learn and laugh session hosted by comedian and event professional Sanj Surati who will be testing attendees’ technology knowledge.

Also featuring on both days of the show are The Hot Trends and Fresh Tech sessions. The Hot Trends sessions provides quick fire opinions by experts on trends in conferences, exhibitions, awards ceremonies and special events, whilst the quick fire Fresh Tech sessions see twelve exciting start up technology companies that are exhibiting on the Event Tech Lab pavilion, pitch their technology in two minutes.
