Over 36 events industry professionals are meeting at the Twickenham Experience in London today to discuss the Association of British Professional Conference Organisers’ (ABPCO) Conference Cloud campaign in support of free Wi-Fi in venues for conference delegates.

Leading the debate will be ABPCO’s Chairman Michael Foreman, with a panel including ACC Liverpool’s Kerrin MacPhie, meetings technology consultant Corbin Ball, Cisco’s Ian Ball and QEIICC’s Deborah Jones.

The Conference Cloud campaign is an initiative to encourage UK conference venues to offer delegates free Wi-Fi.

Foreman says of the campaign: “The Conference Cloud campaign has already been widely picked up, with lots of interest and support across social media channels in addition to the petition and venues signing up.”

Representatives from Excel London, Congrex, MCI, SECC and Barbican are among those taking part in today’s debate designed to further raise awareness of the issue.
