The Global Conference Network has signed up representatives from event management companies such as i2i Events, EMAP and Global Financial Conferences to speak at this year’s Conference Summit. The event will be held at etc.venues’ Dexter House in London on 6 December.

Since 2011, the annual event has addressed the issues facing the conference industry, bringing together senior professionals to debate and discuss the challenges of today’s market. The all-day event will also include presentations, panel debates and round table discussions.

Among the speakers for this year’s event are: Giles Cummings, Divisional Director at i2i Events Group; Fiona Miller, Conference Director at EMAP; and Piers Bearne, Chairman and Co-founder of Global Transport Forum and Global Financial Conferences.

Guest speakers will be joining the Summit’s debates which will cover topics including: ‘Is the paying delegate in terminal decline? Alternative models to meet these challenges’ and ’The convergence of large scale events and exhibitions and the implications on the event industry as a whole’.

“We are delighted to have such key industry figures speak at our event,” says Claire Wormsley, MD of the Global Conference Network (pictured). “I’m sure this year’s Conference Summit will build on the success of last year, with our speakers bringing a vast amount of industry knowledge and insight to the debates, highlighting the constantly changing responsibilities of sales, marketing and content roles.”
