Over 70 meetings industry professionals attended last night’s Conference Question Time (CQT) event at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in London.
The second in the Conference News Question Time series, CQT this time broached the topics of Qualification vs experience; What is best, face-to-face vs intece?; and Audience engagement, how do we get delegates involved?
This year’s panel consisted of Fay Sharpe, MD of Sales and Marketing at Zibrant; KerrinMacPhie, Director of Sales at ACC Liverpool and ICCA UK and Ireland Chair; Rob Davidson, Senior Lecturer in Events Management at the University of Greenwich and CN columnist; and Chris Elmitt, MD of Crystal Interactive. It was facilitated by Simon Green, a journalist, television producer and PR guru.
Themes from the event included Elmitt saying: “Use technology wrong and you could get fired.” And Rob Davidson saying: “We have three years to teach our students that event planning isn’t all about party planning and weddings.”
Following the event The Meetings Show UK’s Event Director, Steve Knight, said: “Thanks to CN for an interesting event last night with good networking thrown in at a great venue.”
For all the information from the event read June’s issue of CN.
