As part of Conference News’ continued efforts to support the industry, the ‘Just Meet’ scheme was initially launched in October of 2020 as a free to use platform for event planners sourcing venues. Due to its immediate success, Conference News will be expanding the scheme to now include event industry suppliers.

The scheme will be in place to help event planners find cost effective suppliers in order help facilitate more meeting and small business event bookings despite the restrictions that have been put in place.

The concept is simple; each signed up supplier will produce a bespoke offering for anyone looking to book their services through the scheme. For any planner looking to run a meeting or small event in 2020 or discuss larger events in 2021, the ‘Just Meet’ effectively acts as a directory of supplier offers to redeem for cost-effective and safe meetings.

Jack Newey, sales director at Conference News and founder of the scheme, said: “Following the large uptake of venues and significant interest from our event planner readership, we will be opening up the scheme in order to give suppliers the opportunity to put their offering on the table as a cost-effective solution for planners. There is always going to be the need for meetings and events, the main issue at the moment as we all know is lack of clarity on safety restrictions and reduced budget for event bookers. The ‘Just Meet’ scheme should offer an easy to use tool for event planners whilst helping recoup some business for the UK suppliers. The scheme will run for the entirety of 2021, leading the charge in reigniting the meetings and events market.”

Suppliers who are currently signed up to the scheme include First Choice Conference & Events, ID Products, Blue Hat Teambuilding, Silent Seminars, Media Hut, Smart Digital TV Limited, CDT Associates, The Tekk Group, Universal Live, MXL, Vividink, Pinnacle Crew, streamGO, Incendo, First Travel Solutions, ShoutOut, London Conference Company, Markey and Exzibit Display.

Other suppliers include Press Red Rentals Limited, Triga Display Systems, Eventologists Limited, Event Tree, PMX Projects Limited, Perform Logistics, Simplywifi, Sound Moves UK, Barmotion, DCRS, Guy Walsh Photography, Co-Ordination Event Hire, Simply The Best Events, Event Advantage Solutions, Lime Green Exhibitions, Mahogany Carnival Designs, Reftech, Silhouette Sarah and RMC Limited.

The supplier scheme will go live on Conference News and relevant newsletters on 5 December.
