CH&Co group’s staff caterer Charlton House has won its bid to provide the staff, TV crew, guest and audience catering for Kent-based Maidstone Studios, home to the BBC’s Later with Jools Holland and ITV’s Take Me Out.
Commencing November 2013, the caterer is to provide breakfast, lunch and snacks plus full hospitality services for up to 800 staff, film crew, cast members and studio audience members within an existing full service staff restaurant setting and a new facility: The Diner, which is being installed this month, ahead of filming commencing for the new series of Take Me Out.
Charlton House’s contract was previously handled in-house.
Charlton House is a niche brand within the CH&Co group, specialising in providing staff catering services to a portfolio of clients nationwide including Sony, Thames Water and PZ Cussons UK. The company also caters for up to 20,000 staff across both terminals at Gatwick Airport.
CH&Co is an independent catering group with six specialist brands: Charlton House (staff catering), Lusso (City and fine dining), Chester Boyd (livery halls and private venues), ITA (venues and events booking agency), Ampersand (public and event catering at iconic and private venues) and Via 360 (bespoke reception services). Current annual turnover stands at £97m and the group employs almost 2,500 people nationwide.
