The Champagne Bureau is to transport the world of champagne to London this year, with a brand new event: Champagne Live.

The one-day event will be hosted in association with the London Wine Fair, taking place at Kensington Olympia on 22 May 2018.

Breaking away from any traditional tasting set-up, the concept is immersive and interactive. There will be a programme of live streaming direct from Champagne in France with experts exploring topical themes and debates, real-time Q&A sessions, creative design and a number of social media activations.

Organisers promise three themed pathways will create the heart of the tasting experience, with each signposted trail presenting a style of specific interest to the UK market.

For the first time ever the Champagne Bureau UK will open the doors of its tasting to consumers, giving exhibitors the opportunity to showcase up to five different champagne styles to the public as well as the trade.

Following last year’s success, Champagne Masterclasses will return.

“We are delighted to be partnering with the London Wine Fair,” says Francoise Peretti, director of the Champagne Bureau UK. “I was seduced by Hannah Tovey’s new vision for a revamped and enhanced LWF and it makes total sense to hold our event where the producers, trade and media meet. It will be a first for us and I look forward to delivering an event rich in content.”
