Central Hall Westminster turns blue for UN Day

Central Hall Westminster projected a blue light across the venue’s facade as part of an initiative to mark the 70-year anniversary of the formation of the United Nations (UN). The anniversary marked 70 years after the inaugural meeting of the UN in the London venue.

The world-wide initiative saw monuments, buildings and landmarks illuminated with the blue light, the official colour of the UN, on ‘UN Day’ 24 October.

Central Hall Westminster hosted the first General Assembly of the newly formed United Nations and was the only English landmark to join the global initiative.

Central Hall’s in-house production solutions company White Light provided the UN-coloured lighting equipment for the celebrations.
