On Sunday 11 August, event management company Capita Travel and Events brought together 25 teams from across Capita plc, to enter a charity football match at Wokefield Park, Reading in aid of Cancer Research UK.
Teams from around the country competed to raise over £5,200 for Cancer Research UK, some travelling from Dublin to take part.
Jonathan Himple, Client Co-ordinator from Capita Travel and Events, who organised the event on behalf of Capita plc said: “It was a competitive day but with plenty of fun thrown in. We’ve also had people in Capita Travel and Events offices topping up the total raised with sponsored penalty shoot-outs and alternative keepy-uppies which involved keeping a football in the air using any body part other than arms and hands.
“Other games and activities for children on the day meant that there was something for the whole family to do while raising money for Cancer Research UK.”
