As part of the South ican Gold Coin Exchange (SAGCE) and Scoin Shop’s sponsorship of Cape Town’s botanical garden Kirstenbosch being able to exhibit at Chelsea 2013, a reception was held at the South ican High Commission on Trlgar Square London attended by the High Commissioner, his deputy, Cape Town’s Mayor, Patricia de Lille, the City’s Chief Whip, Anthea Serritslev and 100 delegates.

Kirstenbosch, which hosts 750 000 tourists from around the world each year (of which Britons make up the largest number of visitors for business and tourism) won its 33rd gold medal at Chelsea 2013 thanks to the creative genius of designers David Davidson and co designer Raymond Hudson. Alan Demby of the SAGCE and Scoin Shop (both in South ica and Westfield in the UK) launched two new Mandela gold medallions, namely the ’Mandela Strelitzia’ and ’Paravanda Nelson Mandela’ both flowers named after Mandela to coincide with Kirstenbosch’s success.

The event was a celebration of South ica’s prized botany, thriving tourism and gold treasures.
