Budget hotel chain Campanile has confirmed its Birmingham hotel is now fully operational following a £2.5m refurbishment to upgrade all 111 bedrooms and the restaurant, bar and reception areas.

Based in Aston, it is the French hotel brand’s first UK property.

Mark Aldridge, director of operations, Louvre Hotels Group UK, commented: “We’re delighted with the outcome of the extensive renovation work at our Birmingham hotel, which has undergone a modern and stylish makeover. We’re looking forward to welcoming back our loyal guests as well as seeing some new faces.

“Birmingham was an ideal location for us to commence the programme of works given the huge amount of development underway in the city and its flourishing economic prospects. We’re very proud to be able to call Birmingham home and be contributing to the vibrancy that can be felt by those living, working or visiting the city. The investment firmly underpins our continued efforts to offer comfort, convenience and conviviality in practical locations at affordable prices.”

Campanile is part of global hospitality company, the Louvre Hotel Group, which owns 2,650 hotels in 53 countries.
