London-based events and hospitality company Camm & Hooper has launched its new menu under celebrity chef Ronnie Murray. The events menu, which will be used across Camm & Hooper’s six sites in London, is complemented by bespoke restaurant menus for Six Storeys townhouse in Soho and Tanner and Co in Bermondsey.
Murray, who joined Camm & Hooper late last year after seven years at Hix, took his inspiration from traditional ‘old-school classics’, but with a modern twist. “Everyone loves the classics cooked really well, so I added unusual elements and used small plates to give a tapas-esque feel. People love sharing and they don’t always want the formality of three courses but prefer to drink and nibble.”
Classics such as fish fingers and chips, Welsh rarebit, chicken nuggets, beef and Yorkshire pudding, mac n cheese and hot dogs are all on the menu but with a different take, together with an update to more modern dishes including chicken shish kebab, beetroot, fennel, apple and dill burger and Moroccan spiced lamb shoulder.
“Everyone confuses simple with easy,” says Ronnie. “But there’s nothing to hide behind with simple, just amazing produce cooked perfectly.”
Another transformation has come with the events menus, where restaurant-quality food will wow guests, whatever the size of event. Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum packages, with the flexibility to swap between them, will enable Camm & Hooper’s experienced team to curate the best possible celebration, whatever the budget and audience.
