Jesus College in Cambridge has appointed Christopher Ogston as head of hospitality (also called Manciple) with responsibility for the catering and conference and events departments, in addition to the accommodation in its new West Court facility.

Ogston started his career training as a professional chef at Cambridge Regional College, going on to spend several years at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, initially as Concierge and then other departments as part of the Intercontinental Management Programme.

More recent roles have included food and beverage management at the Moller Centre and GM and director at the Gonville Hotel, before becoming a director of Cotto Gonville Ltd.

Speaking about his new role, he said: “I am very excited to be the Manciple at Jesus College as the title goes back some 400 years. It is a great privilege and a fantastic place to work where everyone is welcoming and friendly.”
