Butlin’s has reported an increase in its sales of 24% year-on-year. The increase means that since re-entering the market four years ago, Butlin’s Conference & Events has grown 147%.
The resort has continued to raise its profile as an alternative contender in the MICE market with continued investment. The result has been a number of new and high profile clients, including Holland & Barrett, Argos and AstraZeneca.
Recognising the team’s achievements remains important to Butlin’s and, this year, they were rewarded with a surprise team build of their own, when they were taken on P&O Cruises’ Oceana to Bruges.
Simon Jones, national sales manager at Butlin’s Conference & Events said: “I am delighted to work with such a dedicated and successful team at a really exciting time for the business.
Delivering four years of double digit growth is not just a consequence of Butlin’s continued investment in its estate – we strongly believe that our on-going success is a result of having such a strong and dedicated team of professionals who are committed to delivering an outstanding experience for each and every event planner and delegate.”
This investment in its team has again been recognised nationally, with Bourne Leisure, of which Butlin’s is a subsidiary, scooping two top industry awards in recent months. The company was once again included within the top 10 of ‘The 25 Best Big Companies to Work For’ in 2016, topping the publication’s table for ‘staff wellbeing’. This year, the business also featured in Indeed’s ‘Best places to work in the private sector in the UK’.
