The British Library’s Conference Centre in St Pancras will act as the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) London 2012 Olympic headquarters during the Games.

Throughout the duration of the hire, the IAAF will use the meeting rooms as converted offices, the auditorium for speeches and press conferences, and the foyer and bar as reception and catering space.

“This hire is part of a broader range of activity that the Library is planning for the summer of 2012 that will also include two public exhibitions,” says British Library’s Head of Facilities and Property, David Read.

Based in the heart of Kings Cross, the Library is close to central London and to key transport links for the Olympic Park.
