Operator of over 300 scheduled flights a week across a network of 22 destinations in eight European countries, bmi regional, has topped the list of the most punctual scheduled airlines in the UK, according to new data from flightontime.info and the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
The permance table for the first seven months of 2014 was assessed using punctuality statistics for 35 airlines operating in the UK. bmi regional ranks ahead of carriers including British Airways, Flybe, Ryanair and EasyJet.
The CAA calculates airline punctuality using the research, and the latest figures show bmi regional achieved an On-Time Permance of 93 per cent, which is 10.4 percentage points higher than the average.
Chief Executive of bmi regional Cathal O’Connell (pictured), said: “Punctuality permance is a core value for bmi regional and the team across the business is very proud to have maintained our leading position in the UK for the ninth consecutive year. Our commitment to on-time permance and delivering a second to none experience to our customers are at the heart of our growth plans as we expand our scheduled network in the UK, Europe and Scandinavia.”
